Eight stages. One accountable team.
From the first conversation to final delivery: how a shipment moves with Funteg, what we need from you, and when costs and commitments are fixed.
The eight stages of a shipment.
-
Stage 01
Consultation and quote
Tell us about the cargo, route and timing. You receive a recommended mode and route with a clear quote.
-
Stage 02
Pickup and collection
Collection is arranged at the agreed point, ready for the first leg of the journey.
-
Stage 03
Documentation
You share the shipment documents and we confirm what is needed, so nothing stalls at the border.

-
Stage 06
Air, sea or road transit
Your cargo moves by air, sea or road, and you are kept informed of progress and any changes.

Warehousing or distribution
Where needed, cargo is stored securely in Lagos and released to one or several destinations on your instruction.
-

When a booking is confirmed
A quote request does not commit you or us. A shipment is booked only when you accept the quotation in writing and Funteg confirms the booking back to you. Until then, rates and space can change.
Quotes are valid for the period stated on them.
When extra charges can arise
- The cargo, weight, dimensions or route differ from the quote
- Storage, demurrage or detention after free time runs out
- Physical examination, re-weighing or re-packing
- Waiting time at a site that is not ready to unload
- Duties, taxes and regulatory fees, which the importer pays
We tell you before an avoidable charge is incurred whenever we can.
